The Design Process

You are an integral link in the design process.  Your insight and input are encouraged throughout the complete design and development of your piece.  A typical process might be:

• Starting point:  Your idea.
• Collaboration:  We work together to hone in on a focus for the project (type of piece, colors, stones, etc.).
• Ballpark:  The design is further defined (size, weight, length, structural style).
• Benchwork:  Begin constructing the piece in the L´OreStones studio.  We may create a series of pieces that meet all of the design parameters (this option is typically reserved for jewelry designs; not an option for family rosaries).
• Upload:  The piece is scanned at critical points in the construction process.  You can view the progress of your design by visiting a password-protected webpage devoted to your piece.
• Complete the design:  Tweak, if necessary.
• Complement the Piece:  Often, note cards are created to accompany and explain your piece, if indicated.
• Approve, package, pay & ship.
• Receive... and enjoy!

TouchStones

For those times when you need "a little something..."

Consider creating a TouchStone. These can take form as bookmarks, keyrings, jeans jewelry, purse charms, or "pocket prayers."  These make wonderful teacher´s gifts, party favors, or enduring tokens of love and affection.

How to create a TouchStone...

• Identify the sentiment you want to share.
• Select stones to represent and reflect that sentiment.
• Select the form of construction (keyring, bookmark, jeans jewelry, pocket prayer, etc.)
• If desired, incorporate a charm or medal to anchor the piece.
